TACKY WITH TALENT

—intro and interview by Bianca Betancourt @bybiancabee

Being tacky never looked so good.

Chicago based multidisciplinary artist Caroline Jacobson does a little bit of everything—she paints, she builds, she illustrates, she designs—but the common thread that connects all of her work is the honest and unapologetic view she produces of herself and those closest to her—who she often depicts in her artworks.

We sat with Jacobson a few weeks back during her residency at Woman Made Gallery in Chicago to talk the inspiration behind her work, women in art and also dissect her last exhibit "Tacky Palazzo".

Check out our chat below and keep up with Jacobson's work by following her on Instagram at @champangecari
