I don't know what it is about Kali Uchis. 

When she first came onto the scene with her debut EP Por Vida, she was praised as being a second coming of Amy Winehouse of sorts—a claim she's fervently shut down multiple times. With the debut of her latest video "Only Girl", a track that's more hip hop forward with a mild caribbean undertone, those comparisons may finally be put to bed.

If singing doesn't pan out for the young Colombiana (which is blatant sarcasm, the girl has soul), then maybe becoming a professor of personal branding will. Since her debut on the music scene Uchis has consistently promoted herself as a modern, Latina Lolita—her videos and imagery always evoking shades of pink, feather boa accessories and pinup makeup to match. Instead of seeming gimmicky or fake, Kali continues to embrace being every girl's dream BFF: a tumblr-girl come to life. 

"Only Girl" is easily Uchis' best video work yet. What will she do next? (Also, #weddingdressgoals.)
