Introduce yourself.
I’m an 18 year old Women, Gender, & Justice Studies Major. I go to Arizona State University, and I’ll be a sophomore this year. I’m into art, fashion, music, feminism, and trying out new vegetarian recipes!
Describe for CIRCUS readers your personal style:
My style is all over the map. Some days I dress really feminine, and the next day I’ll be wearing all black. I like to switch things up a little everyday, and I find myself changing my outfit every few hours. I’m pretty indecisive when it comes to fashion! I live in Arizona, which is really awesome because I can wear pretty much whatever I want year-round. I’m most often caught in vintage graphic tees, high-waisted shorts, and studded black ankle boots.
Who or what inspires you?
My biggest life inspiration is my Mom, for sure. She taught me from a really young age that it is always best to be your own person, and think for yourself.
I’m really into photography and I love looking at the lookbooks some of my favorite stores/brands put out. (UNIF, Free People, Nasty Gal, Urban Outfitters, Jeffrey Campbell) Not only do I get inspiration for my photography, but also my style.

What are you currently obsessed with?
Right now I am obsessed with: summer vacation, mewithoutYou, veggie burgers, vintage t-shirts, sweet cream ice cream, my favorite coffee place, and my polaroid.
Tell us more about TUF:
TUF (The Underground Foundation) is a club at ASU (we also have chapters at Columbia College and Loyola in Chicago!) is an organization that is improving the underground music scene in Tempe/Arizona in general. We have house shows (Literally. Concerts inside living rooms.), poetry slams, art shows, and movie nights. TUF works to bring all kinds of art forms together under one thing, and it is actually the best thing ever.

What are you involved with in TUF?
I’ve been involved with TUF for about a year. I don’t remember exactly why I decided to go to the first meeting, but I am still really glad I did. Without TUF, I don’t think I would be enjoying college quite as much. I always struggled finding a place I felt I fit in, and TUF has given me just that. I’ve made some of the best memories, and met some of the best people because of this organization. I really just fell in love with all of it and wanted to immerse myself in everything. I am the Chief of Media for TUF now, and I’ll be running our blog (theundergroundfoundation.com) and creating a zine this year. There is nothing else quite like this, and I am so thankful to be a part of it!
What's your personal cause in life?
Besides TUF, I would say my cause is Feminism. That term may leave a bitter tastes in the mouth of some, but Feminism is not inclusive to just women. It is for everyone. I was majoring in Psychology, but after a semester and a half of that, I realized I cared about other things a whole lot more. I switched my major to Women & Gender Studies, with a minor in justice studies. My dream job is to work with victims of rape and domestic violence, helping them to better their lives and overcome the tragedies and hardships they are facing.
